Meet Uma Girish, author of Sacred Fire

Uma came to us via a mutual friend and working with her has been such a wonderful and loving experience. Uma previously published traditionally but was disappointed with the support both for her personally and her book. She wanted more freedom and connection whilst bringing her newest creation to the world. And we have been thrilled to do that alongside her.


Sacred Fire is a layered, heartwarming, honest, and vulnerable memoir of her decades-long marriage. Uma's use of language and the cadence of her voice is so beautiful and evocative that her memoir reads like a fiction book. I was absorbed from the opening sentence.


Her latest work releases this month, 19 May, everywhere books are sold. We will share purchase options as soon as the book is released.

UMA GIRISH is a spiritual mentor, award-winning author, and Human Design guide. She mentors women who are grieving different kinds of losses to find the bigger meaning and purpose in their pain and embrace authentic living. Her previous books include Understanding Death: 10 Ways to Inner Peace for the Grieving; Losing Amma, Finding Home: A Memoir About Love, Loss, and Life’s Detours; and Lessons from Grace: What A Baby Taught Me About Living and Loving. She hosts a podcast Being Fully Me to share stories and reflections about her journey, work, and life. Uma lives in a Chicago suburb with her husband of 34 years.
